I've heard mixed opinions. Having some is good. From what I understand they eat dead things in that tank like dead snails or fish that die where you can't reach them. They also help aerate the substrate. But having too many can be a problem. They can danage the corals.

Wish my 1st SW tank started that nice.
Like the cabinet, wish I could see the tribal designs better.
If only I had a site like this when I started. Would have saved alot of money and headaches.
Best of luck to you!

Good looking tank! As for the bristles, yeah, there are mixed opinions on them but the one thing everyone can agree on is they aren't a problem as long as they stay small.

The *only* time I've heard of bristleworms eating coral is from an opinion. I've never read in a textbook or anything of the like that they are bad. If you think you have too many (which right now isn't possible) then buy a six line wrasse or other fish that helps nip away at them. They are harmless and reefsafe.
