I Am All That Is Man!!!!!

Angel apprehended. I don't know how many hours, or how many tricks but I just caught him with the clear plastic bag trick. I spent 8 hours yesterday trying various ploys to no avail. I even tried the bright light in a dark tank at 6 am today.

Just fed mysis into a plastic bag purse stringed with fishing line. Last night every other fish in the tank was in that bag. Not the angel. Just fed again tonight and still nothing.

FINALLY after about 15 minutes on the last syringe of food, he swam to the back of the bag and WHAMMO!!! Closed the door on him.

He's unharmed in my refugium for 1/2 way housing. I'm gonna watch the tank for a week or so and see if any corals get smacked. If not, he's either guilty as charged or a bigger patsy than Lee Harvey Oswald!!!!!

Nice wash it down with a nice bottle of maple syrup!

If any of your corals get nailed in the next week, you're going to look like me:

BALD from ripping your hair out!

I think MOST of the other inhabitants have proven they can be caught using the same method.

Next most likely suspect is the sailfin. It may sound gross, but his poo has little white flecks in it. Kinda like bits of sand. So I'm thinkin that it might be processed pieces of coral.

I'm keeping a close eye.

p.s. Thanks for getting the reference Bri!

I'm keeping a close eye on all of them. But he went in and out of the bag pretty freely. If it does turn out to be him, I know I can get him with the same trick.

Hey capt.....I told you it was the Angel.....so I'll bring the Onions, Garlic and the butter, you fire the stove and we can have fish fry!!!!

Sleep well tonight........... :)

Mark...plastic bag???? What and miss all the fun of spending 4-5hrs knocking everything over in the tank....your no fun!!!
What is worse is that Jeff was kindly going to bring me the fishtrap...but I knew I could catch that fish with out too much trouble. Heck he was only a sailfin.

:D Two weeks ago I rescued a Red sea sailfin(Zebrasoma desjardini) A customer turned him in at Salt Water Paradise. He had virutally no dorsal fin and no tail. Bitten and appeared infected. I took him home and treated him for a week with aerthomycin. He is doing fine in qt and healing. Now, I really don't know where I'm ging to put him after reading these stories.I'm alittle to attached to him to send him back into the market place.
