I am getting my first tang tomorrow need advising

I am getting a new tang tommorrow, a blue spotted kole tang. Here is the link.

I know they need to have some nori but I really would like to know a feeding schedule.

Like how ofter do you feed the nori?
What else should I feed?
Should I soak it in vitamins?
How long should I leave the nori in the tank, how much do I feed?
Is there something I can do to help insure that it will not get ick other than QT?
Should I feed it's food soaked in Garlic?
Should I feed a color enhanced food to help it keep it's color?

Sorry for all the questions I want to be prepared.

Here's what I do with my tang. I feed him Nori everyday from a clip, once it's gone I take the clip out, I feed the Nori (not huge pieces) when I get home from work around 6 and it's usually gone by 8. I also feed him a variety of frozen foods, including mysis, brine, flake, to name a few. I usually soak the mysis and brine in Garlic once every week, but that's about it.

sounds good, what i love about tangs, they will eat anything.

Just make sure its getting a lot of vegetable matter. They (tangs)will eat anything, but need the greens for good health and color. Various macroalgaes, Nori, seaweed selects, Julian Sprung Sea Veggies, Omega 3 Superveggie flakes - all are good.

Thank you I may take some of the cheato out of the fuge and put in the main tank until it gets more comfy with me. It will need the greens everyday then? Like nori everyday or should I switch between nori one day and something else the next?

yes, I would suggest greens everyday. These fish graze all day long.

Did you recieve your tang yet? If yes, how is he doing. I so wanted to order one, but couldn't find any references to this fish and I am a novice. Just wondering. Would love an update. I decided on a standard Kole Tang, but found one that is a really nice rose color with great striations and lots of orange/yellow on his fins. There are a few other good references for feeding tangs if you do a search.

Not to threadjack but I suppose its relevant... suggestions for meds to have lying around for tangs in the event they get sick in QT?
Is it suggested to do any dips before putting them in qt?

I did get the tang and it is going great. It's very shy though. It will not accept any food but eats off the rocks. It looks really full but it does worry me. It loves to pick on the rocks. I have quite a bit of algae in the back and it's still there so I know it's not eating that. I just wish it wan't so shy. It is always out eating off the rocks but will not eat the seaweed or frozen foods yet. When it sees me it hides I hope that gets better with time.

They tend to be skittish at first and it may take a few weeks before he's out roaming the tank. When I first got my YT it would only eat Omega Super Veggie flakes... now it eats a variety of foods (mysis, Ocean Nutrition frozen formula 1 and 2) including some macros that I placed in the tank (Chaetomorph, calurpa prolifera, racemosa [not sure of the spellings]). They also tend to come out a little more if there are dither fish in the tank.

She/he ate today for the first time. Julian Spring's sea veggies I was glad to see it. I feel better now. Thank you all for the tips and info.

My tang wouldn't eat nori when I got him, so I started tucking the nori in between 2 rocks, sticking out kind of natural looking. Then I put the clip in and left it, with no nori for a week or so, then slowly over several days kept putting the nori closer and closer to the clip until it was on the clip.
