I got a fever! bowhunter support group needed!

It got a nice write up in field and stream this month in a comparrison to a similar Browning that was $699 more. Justin will tell you over been salivating over it for at least 6 months now. Not a gun guy, but I love that one!

7 AKs? 8k rounds? You know something we should know brother???

It never hurts to be prepared. I currently rent the house I am in. My landlord stores a few things in the basement and asked me a few weeks ago..."why do you have a bunch of food in your basement?" My reply was..."why don't you?"

My Christmas list is an excalibur dehydrator, 50 1 gallon and 20 5 gallon mylar bags, 330cc O2 absorbers, and a full canning kit.

But I'm just a wierdo....

Then get me the Excalibur dehydrator. Oh, and teach me how to use a bow, because I am clueless in that dept.

well I was hoping to hunt this morning. But last night after Don Paul said that were were pretty much done with snow in our area, My plow route got about 4". So After being up since 4am, I got to leave at 11:40pm and went out and plowed until 7am. 27 hours awake and the last 7 shovelling walks........sleep...no hunting.

Cully, I store ammo too. I don't have any rifles, but I've got close to 1000 9mm, 2000 .22, and 100 16ga. I don't think I have enough either. I need a rifle with 3k or 4k (at least). It doesn't hurt to store ammo. Just keep it dry and it will store virtually forever.

On a related note, I enjoy reading survivalistboards.com and survivalblog.com. Some of the stuff is way out there, but there is plenty of good information on a variety of topics on self sustainability.

Cut up some roast and made some marinade. Soaking overnight and into the dehydrator tomorrow. Can't wait for it to be done. Not sure if I'll go out tomorrow. Just no urgency now that I got one. Kind of relieving actually having a laid back feeling.

Yeah, I'd say 85% of the folks posting on there are nutjobs. There is a lot of good info though, if you can weed through the garbage. I don't post much on the main sections anymore. I just read them. Usually if I am posting, it's in the section called the darkside. Kind of like the lounge here on RC, except you can pretty much say whatever you want and make fun of each other.

cully, you gotta get me some permission to hunt turkey there. My grounds are pretty limited on beards. I have only seen a couple out there. I would love to get a couple with the 1187.

Got my Texas mount back. Got a buddy that does them so he hooked me up for free. Better than hacking off the antlers. I wanted it to be the centerpiece on the table but the flowers won, so down in the man cave it goes...
