I have tried everything but can't get the 6100' s from stop blowing my front sand away. If I put the 7095 multicontroller to 30% it may work. Then what is the point.

If I put units on side walls facing each other it is best but that eliminates mutting corals in their paths.

Please help. This is an $800 nightmare

I have a solution, I have 2x6000 less than 4 months old that I would like to upgrade to 6100's If you are interested we can swap just the transformers (the black round part) plus I will give you 100 in cash.

It sounds like the 6000's would be a better bet for you because of your sand woes. Instead of running your 6100's at 30% you could run the 6000's much higher. I have a BB so no sand to blow around.

I will pay for 2day air shipping both ways as well with fedex with tracking numbers both ways. Let me know if you are interested.

Regards,
1SR

If that was not clear, if we swap the just the transformers, it will turn my pump and driver into 6100's and it will turn your set into 6000's

We each keep our pumps and the Driver (blue rectangle box) the only thing we would swap is the transformer. (the black round part that plugs into the wall).

Definitely

Definitely

something I will consider. I see you have Geo Calc Reator and skimmer. So do I. Recently skimmer not producing much. Ever have that with your skimmer?

I have a GEO Kalk rx and GEO calcium RX, my skimmer is a Deltec, it produces consistently, but I'm also stocked heavy.

Let me know about the trade. very interested here as well.

I'm setting an a 180G and have the same concern. I dont want 6100s if they will blow the sandbed around. My thread here:

How do you have them set up? How fine is your sand?

I have this exact problem with my 180g.

I can only run my 6100s at 60% which is rather annoying.

I'm thinking the solution might be to go with 4x the new controllable Nanostreams that are coming out in Dec.

Wow, i didn't know 6100 that powerful. I install 4x6100 into a 4x2x2 with DSB and he doesn't have any problem with sand storm. Let me guess you put the pump on the back wall facing the center front panel. It may work good but most of people will have problem with sand get blowed around. Let try this guy and you tell me if it work out for ya.

Put your tunze on the side panel facing each other, set your controller on interval 2 then go head and turn that bad boy to 100%. Make sure pump 1 on channel 1a set it at 100% 1b at 30% the same with pump two. trust me guy. if you ever have sand being blow around i will quit posting in this forum. The problem you all running into is pointing the pump into the center front panel, too much flow will create turbulence therefore your sand got stirred up. Give it a shot and let me know. I have two wavebox and two tunze 6200 in my 48x48x24 cube and i don't have any problem with sand storm. By the way, i know what i am talking about cuz i install customer tank every weekend.
