I got my rock yesterday evening! So without further delay here are some pictures...

Cool rock! see the orange sponge, it is totally all over the bottom I think that your suppose to leave it on the bottom out of light right??

Strange red thing, it disappeared for about 6 hours then was back

FOSELONE you where right, I crept in there last night with a flash light an he was half way out the hole. Little guy is only a little over an inch long. I think I will be shrimp hunting today.

So last night I heard clicking and thought "boy for such a small guy he is sure loud!"

Well today a new mantis has come out of hiding, he is big about 3 or 4 inches long. He is close to the hole the little one was in, but I don't see the little one any more. Would the big one eat a little guy of his kind?

LOL, Wintercool! Welcome to the club! I got one out just yesterday that was about 2-1/2 inches or so long. He'll be going to his forever home tomorrow as I put him up for adoption here on RC and found a taker.

Yeah, they are pretty loud, huh?

BTW, nice pix and nice setup, too.

My ammonia's down now so it's looking like Part 2 will be on the way pretty soon....

Thank you I just got done reading your last post in your thread, so funny made me laugh! I will be watching out for the part 2 posts.:bigeyes:
I hadn't thought of putting him up for adoption but that is a great idea, I kind of like him but didn't want to keep him either. Are the new parents going to be paying for shipping? And how did you plan on packaging him? I just may do the same thing
