I to love chalices, only thing is I for I'd to pay the outrages prices they want for them . So until then I will keep my bubble gum/ purple neon green one. Nice pics

I took the pictures with a sony nex 7 camera and the kit lens that comes with it, 18-55 mm (its not a macro). thank you for the kind words. You can see some of my other corals:

What is on the rock underneath some of the chalices? It almost looks like a flexible surface that you put over the live rock

That is reef putty, specifically,D-D AquaScape Aquarium Epoxy. I put it over the rock but not into the rock. It serves as a growing surface for the chalice and that way I can theoretically remove the chalice (with the putty/epoxy base) or move it any time I want. Problem is the chalices grow beyond that point and encrust onto/into the rock and then become immovable. I thought if ever I wanted to frag the chalices, I could. But so far I like them growing bigger and bigger and have no plans to frag any of them.
