Subject says it all....lol... I noticed some aptasia a week ago in my main tank, about 8 or so, mostly babys... There were some that were getting bigger, so I decided to get a few peppermint shrimp to see if they would eat them. I reduced my feeding for the past week, and have scanned all places where I saw aptasia, and cannot find one at all. With my old system, I had a refugium which had an outbreak of over 100 aptasia baby's, and put three peps in there, and they devoured all of them in less than a day... Just thought I would post to give an alternative to blasting them with Kalk paste, Joes Juice, etc.... Thanks for reading....

i would get some buy i have a larger feather duster as millions of smaller ones, dont they eat feather dusters?

Funny...when I got my first tank from someone last year (10 gallon reef, lol) it was filled with aptasia. I bought peppermints and they wouldn't touch them.

Now at school, I have about 30 peppermints and when I drop the shrimp into a different tank, they race to the anemones. They killed 2 flower anemones, several curly cues, glass anemones, and the one a couple of you thought was majano (I have 1 and it's beautiful if that's what it is, lol). These peppermints are BEASTS I tell you
!!! We're intentionally growing glass anemones in a tank to see how fast the peppermints can clean them out. Such fun :D !!

I may have to get a few of these. I shot a butt load of them with Joe's juice the other day and I'm not too sure how much it made a difference. And I think I nuked a few spots on some corals, so I'm not too sure that's the best stuff anyway.
