If you use the 400, the current best setup is 2 CoralVue Sicce PSK-2500. I have the Laguna/Askoll 1500 with a custom volute on mine. John, THE ichthyman, was at my house on Saturday evening, and he was very pleased with how it was working. The particular volute on mine allows for a bit more air than normal, but with a little fine tuning and absolutely stable water depth in my sump, the 400 works perfectly on my system.Originally posted by thereefaquarist
thanks mflamb I also think the 400 may be the way to go, John was saying to go with the superbeast but I wasnt sure. What would be the best possible pump to stick on it?
I've been running my I-Tech 400 for 5 months now, first on a 300 Rubbermaid tub and then on my 300 in wall reef. It is by far, the best skimmer I've ever owned. You will not be disappointed in the 400 if your sump configuration with work with the skimmer.Originally posted by thereefaquarist
thanks deathwish the superbeast is a monster skimmer but its built to be used on a 600 gallon system which is only 100g more than mine. I do prefer using the askoll, laguna, and sicce pumps over the reeflo. But if the superbeast will be more efficient I will go with that

Hi all~
I have a 100gallon SPS tank (heavily stocked) and thinking of
200 model than 100.
Do you think model 100 is enough for 100gal SPS tank?
Thanks.

I have 150gal heavily stocked and the 100 is more then enough. You could always get another if you upgraded. I think thats what I will do, that way also you would have a backup if one of the pumps failed. Always nice to have backups.
This is his tank taken from his recent TOTM articleOriginally posted by Coyle
Emster, would you mind posting a stocklist of your tank to give me an idea of what you consider heavily stocked? I am considering an i-tech for my 150..
