I-Tech Skimmer Club .

I've been using mine for about 2 months now. This thing rocks!

Still pulling out the most gnarly amount of stuff I have seen.

I had order my I-Tech Skimmer today. Purchased the 400 model for my 150 gallon tank. I want to thank everyone on this thread which basically help me decide on which brand skimmer to get. Great customer service. Thank you John for taking the time to answer my questions.

Just installed my 100 with the Tunze pump last night in my 72 bow and it looks great. Can't wait to see how it compares to the G2 that it replaced.

My I-tech 200 with Tunze dialed in few days ago, looks very promising. The whole body is filled with tiny solid white bubbles, foam head is stable. My 75G bioload is on medium side, the skimmer is pulling a lot of gunk, without sign of reduction. If I don't clean up after 2 days, you can smell the skimmate outside of the stand. Will post some pictures of skimmer as well as tank when I have time.

Silent ... realiable and economic.... itech-100 replaced my old octopus dnw-150... ORP rised from 280 to 430 with no more ozone than before... just the gunk liquid extracted every day....

Now thinking if deltec should be also replaced and save some energy in my system ...

I finally received my I-Tech Skimmer. Can't wait to go home and finish building my sump. After that I will start breaking this bad boy in. The construction is very stout. I did not feel any parts were too fragile to handle. Well built and looks very clean. As you can see John @ I-Tech takes care in packaging his skimmers. Here are some photos.

Ordered an I-Tech 100 today to replace my Bullet 1. Already received tracking number from John, should be here mid-week. Can't wait!

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but I-Tech has 2 new models to add to their existing skimmer line up. They now have a Mini, which has the pump inside the cone for a smaller foot print and they now a Beast that is a step larger then the 400 but smaller then the Super Beast.

One small issue I had with my previous octopus NW150 skimmer, I think somewhat common issue on skimmers, is that the skimmer will briefly overflow for awhile after you turn it off and turn it back on. It is annoying because you need to close the skimmer a bit and open it back after form head is stable.

I have seen this issue reported by ATB, vertex, MSX skimmers owners.

It is not an issue at all for my i-tech 200, the form headl is super stable after I turn it back on no matter after feeding or cleaning the cup.

No more adjustment, yeah!

You will love it, I have 75G as well, ordered 200 for case of tank upgrade. Thought it might be overkill, but no, the 200 is pulling out junk consistently.

Ok I found something I don't like about the 100 with the tunze pump. It is working too well and now instead of having to clean the collection cup every week or two, when I was running the G2, I have to now clean the cup twice a week. This is horrible as you know that stuff smells like hell! ;)

This thing has been great and only been a little over a week. It is working working so good and pulling so much stuff that it maked me wonder what the hell my G2 was going at all when I was running it. Definitely the best skimmer I have used and will purshase a larger i-tech when I get a larger tank running in my basement.
