Can't say for certain since the entire crab isn't visible, but I'd guess that it's a gorilla crab. Pretty common on TBS rock. Keep an eye on the tank and when you see him on an accessible rock, snatch it out and remove the crab. The good thing about these guys is that if he's on a rock and you start to pull it out, they don't jump off. Their natural instinct seems to be to latch on, and maybe dive into a hole. If the latter, squirt a little ro/di water or carbonated water in the hole to flush him out.

i caught him walking across my zoas again.this time i pulled rock out and got the little bugger :D now all i need to do i find out whos making the snapping sound in my tank.

Keep an eye out for random tunnels entrances appearing in the sand around your rocks. If so, the clicking is probably from a pistol shrimp (as opposed to a mantis).

I have a half dozen or so pistols in my TBS coral deco rocks.

I also had 1 manits. ( did not make it to the tank, thank god )

15 gorilla crabs ( 1 about 2 1/2 inches big ) killed it prior to getting into tank

10-12 rock crabs

and just found 2 tiny dime sized rock crabs last night.

Best time to catch em' is an hour or so after the lights turn of, get a flash light and have a metal or wood stick and scewer them while they get disoriented by the flash light. You only have a few seconds while they get dissoriented. Always works for me... the shot glass or bottle don't really work for most of these crabs... The pistols have killed a couple of tiny crabs...
