So i just upgraded my pump to a mp10 and have it running at 50% in my Biocube 29. My clowns used to sleep near the old koralia and have been trying to sleep near the mp10 but seem like they are having a hard time. I have Frogspawn and hammer coral growing happily, I thought they might host that but they seem like they really badly want to swim near the mp10.
Would they host a fake nem? I feel bad watching them swim so hard at night when they should be resting?

I had the exact experience. I put a pair of baby A. percula in my 30 g cube with my S. gigantea that have an MP10 for circulation. Even at the setting of about 70% my clowns (only about 1 inch in size) have to swim so hard that I worry that they won't make it after a day or two. I was so worry that I have to use my hand to chase them into the Gigantea. After more than 20 years keeping marine aquarium, this is the first time I ever do this. They are doing fine now in the anemone, but in a tank that small with an MP10 the clowns really need something to live in or the current will kill them. Unless you really cut back on the flow of the MP10

Clownfish don't host anemones. Some anemones, however, host clownfish. :)

Your clowns may decide to live within an anemone or other suitable host. They may, however, never live associated with anything. Their choice really.

Whoa you guys/gals use a lot of flow in your tanks! I have an MP10 in my 25 gal cube and it is barely on the 4th LED (20%). If i go any higher than that the tank turns into a wind tunnel forcing all of my corals to lean to one side. My clown will play with the flow every now and then when its not hosting the return from my fuge or sleeps in the corner shielded by my overflow box. I bought a nem for it, bit so far it us stares at it.
