My live and let live attitude toward hitchhikers has burned me once again.
The Montipora eating Nudibranchs mentioned in my previous post http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=14489547 have started to really become a pita.
After about three years of peaceful coexistence, they have suddenly taken over one patch of Montipora cap to the point where they are doing significant damage. Pulling the corals out is not possible, so manual removal of the nudis and eggs has been stepped up. It is impossible to get them all because they are so tiny and live under the coral, especially in tight crevices.
Now I wish I had worked harder to get rid of them early on when the corals could have been removed.
