Ich Attach. Anyone use it?

It states its safe for reef aquaruims but Im still hesitant. Anyone use it with good results? I've read that some people have used it some people say its useless I'm just wondering what you guys think.

Also someone recommended a grounding rod when you have tangs to help prevent some stray bacteria. Any thoughts?

I used it, and it did not harm my corals.... but it did nothing to rid my fish of Ich either.

Wast of money IMO.

Now I just use Garlic with my feeding and most (not all) of the Ich is gone.

Garlic wont get rid of it, but it will help keep it under control.

I've used it to no avail. The Ich was still there and came back stronger. Had to take out the fishes and put them into quarantine with Cupramine.

I've also use a grounding probe to prevent stray voltage. I don't know if it'll prevent stray bacteria?

I used it in my 90 gal FOWLR for one month, twice a day. The spots have been gone for 4 months and the fish are healthy. I am reluctant to put any more fish in the tank for fear of stirring up latent ich.

Thanks for the input everyone. Ill try garlic and just watch the fish most of the spots are gone now but I know that doesnt mean anything.

I am in the midst of a serious bout of ich in my 400 Gallon. I have spent a significant amount of time reading about the parasite.
Garlic might work (has not for me), cleaner shrimp, gobies don't make it go away, and neither do any of those touted reef save meds (never tried them, but read a lot about them). UV might control the outbreak, but is not curative (I am now running 2 80W high output UV Sterilizers in my system). The bottom line is you need to get your fish into a HT, treat them with hyposalinity and/or copper and leave your DT fallow for at least 6 weeks. Get rid of the ich that way and never worry about it again. I learned this the the expensive and hard way. I am in the process of setting up a 240 gallon HT. The lesson for you is to always use a quarantine tank for new fish. It may seem inconvenient but it will save you a lot of headaches in the future.

Thanks for the info. I know the importance of a qt tank but I bought the tank with most of the live stock included and the one and only fish I wanted to add was the powder blue. I know it was a risk but I just dont have the budget for another tank. Ill watch everything and see how it works out. When I buy me next house Im going to build an inwall with fish room and plan on doing everything including qt tank. This set up was just fix for my addiction. I bought some garlic additive from my lfs and they recommended metradizole? Flagyl I believe. They use this all the time in the reef tanks with no ill effects. well see
