This red stuff is taking over the tank.. I see a very, very small amount on my cap too. Pretty sure its cyano.

These rocks were in the tank for exactly 1 week. Today, they are almost 90% pink where the light touches them.

As you can see below, i put a chinese food cup in to hold my cheato too. .. It is completely covered too, but it took a bit longer for this to grow on plastic.

Yes, it is. New tanks usually get it, dont worry about it. Let the system cycle on its own.

I wasnt going to buy medications or anything. I am a reefer on a budget.. Only thing I was thinking about doing was probably start vodka dosing.

That will feed it at the start....water changes and good flow will assist but in time it will run its course....I have a very small amount that started up after over a year of up and running when I started using biopellets....now that my bio denitrator is up and running and I ditched the pellets its starving off.....
