ID please

I had this acro along time ago, got it as a browned out rescue, grew very fast keeping the same growth pattern with the slightly curved branch tips. It developed very nice purple tips and got to be softball size when it rtn'ed and I watched it die in about 2 hrs. I would love to find out what this is and see if I can get a frag of it now that I have some more exp with sps.

maybe some sort of bonsai..if it was purple with green polyps i would say so

The somewhat flattened white polyps and coralites I lean towards A. loripes.
