My GF bought a anemone for her tank. I believe it is a sebae, but not sure. Here's the best pic i could take.

It looks like a severely bleached anemone, the type is probably bubble tip or Entamacea Quadricolor. Or it could be a Heteractis Magnifica aka Ritteri as they can look similar when sick, but that's not likely.

+1 on bleached BTA. Is it sticky at all? if so you may want to try feeding it as its ability to carry out photosynthesis is greatly (entirely?) reduced.

It has a long road ahead but it isn't in hopeless shape. I've seen bubble tips come in much worse shape than this and turned out fine. Just give it good lighting and have her feed it and it will recover.

I concur that it is a bleached BTA, and also that it is far from hopeless. I have had the best luck with nems in this shape recovering via keeping them in a well stocked system, essentially making sure they have plenty of organic nitrogen available so that when the zooanthellae begin to recover they will have the best shot at it.

Good luck

She was anxious to have her clownfish host in one. She has a 24g nanocube with dual t5s. I know that's not enough but she said the lfs had it in 10g tanks with t8s. We fed it mysis shrimp, which it ate. If it starts to get worse ill try and put it in my tank. I have a RBTA in mine and doing great.
