ID Wanted

I recently bought this mantis shrimp from liveaquaria
I don't know what type he is though.
I tryed getting a good shot of him but he hides all day and night and when he does come out to hunt i never see it.

looks like an N. Wennerae we would need a picture of the meral spot though on the inside of the raptoral appendage

Nope. I don't think so. My guess without a good photo of the telson is Gonodactylaceus. Does it have orange or or yellow meral spots? The banded mottling on the side of the raptorial merus is often found in this genus.

ooo i didnt notice the banding, i just saw the brownish color and assumed an N. Wennerae, doesnt the N. Wennerae also have the striping also?
