Identify please! Snail or flatworm?

I had a couple hitchhikers come back with me today. I can't tell if they are baby snails or maybe a flat worm (I have previously seen neither). They are about the size of peas.

Snail. Flatworms are flat, almost 2 dimensional. I would dispose of it anyway just to be safe.
Why dispose of it??? It's a stomatella.
Just because you don't know what something is doesn't mean you kill it, Get a positive ID then decide. To just kill something without knowing what it is would be absurd!

Most likely the puffer will eat them unless you have a large puffer, They might be to small for him to mess with.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'll put them in and hope my puffer doesn't snack on them.

OK, the guy is worried as to whether or not the stomatella is reef safe. Then he says he has a puffer in the reef...I mean, am I the only one noticing this? Just curious.

I'd be worried about the puffer first before a hitchhiker; that's just me though:rolleye1:

ROFL   :hammer: :blown: :lolspin:

Actually, the person who posted the initial inquiry did not ask anything about it being reef safe. He/she was merely asking whether or not the hitchhiker is a snail or flat work.

My bad. Retraction.

You are correct; I was just wondering if the critter was tank safe in general. I'm glad to hear the snail is reef safe anyway. My puffer is a valentine and so far it hasn't messed with my zoas.
