Does anyone know what this clownfish is named? Also, what are the parents and where can I get one? Thanks Lou.

I checked the JCA website. That morph is called an Onyx Picasso; the photo appears to have come off their website. It looks like they don't have any in stock right now.

Am I the only one that see this, or the only one point this out?
While the coloration is dark. That clown body is deformed with fins way too small for the body. IMO, in order for a clown consider good, it must have nice body shape.
Body shape without deformity first then I look at coloration.

+1. Though the color may be nice, this one should've been culled. Furthermore it's got the typical "bulldog" face that's badly misshapen, appearing to be pushed in.

Thats the most recent line of c-quest that are being raised by breeders. The over all genetic quality is horrible, most offspring have the messed up fins with a small percentage of them having perfect body shape baring etc. The onyx is insane...and thats about it with these fish...as far as calling them picasso...not really they just have weird and slight abberant barring.

you do know that even if a clown has a defect or many defects those defected genes can be pushed out by pairing it with a wild caught onyx or any other onyx or fish that doesnt have deformities.....i personally love cquest they have the most black...all clownfish have defects even picasso its just a way of life....it doesnt make sense to say most cquest come out defected because all clownfish do....

If that was the case s.A n sea and reef should cull 79% of their clownfish ,you want perfect get a wild cought can't beat that

In the days when C-Quest was around, they would not have allowed many of the Onyx today to reach the public as they would have been culled. When breeders are not responsible and do not cull their defects, that's what give captive bred a bad name. If a defect is kept in a breeding program for a specific trait, shouldn't be shown or released to the public. Good example is MaMa Onyx of RodOnyx with a deformed head. She produced beautiful offsprings, but too photos of her gives the public the impression that a pinched head is normal or the correct head. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the complement, both of the ones on my video are siblings to the one above their parents both are plain c-quest parents love these guys I have a few like 5 I kept I'm a clownfish colletor first ,I have many clownfish from,c-quest,ora,Donis,rods,jca which they all come from 2 main company c-quest n ora I look or try to get the best for future breeding these 2 companies hold strong genes when it comes to s.A n sea n reef are good for the regular hobbies that just wants a designer clownfish for their salt water tanks as far as breeding them they are to water down meaning the generations are way high that's when parts of deformation comes out others is water quality n feeding the best nutrition while larvae to meta

exactly but its nit the breeders fault you get alot of people asking to see the parents when theyre about to purchase the fish you dont really get someone thats just like "ok ill take that fish" without seeing the parents very often....everyone wants to see them these days
