Identifying my Carpet!

I bought a carpet at Petco. The tag said it was a gigantea but I am more and more certain that it is a haddoni. (I don't have a pic at the moment). It is tan but pale green when it condenses. Also the column is pale green, but no bumps or spots up high. Also, the tentacles are in rows and look more knobby and rounded rather than hairy like the gigantic. Have had it for bout a month, it's bout 6" right now at the most. Also wavy like a saddle. Need to know for sure which one it is, obviously because the 2 species require different care. Anything else make them more distinct? Oh, and lemme tell ya, there ain't no specialists at petco, they are so clueless, atleast at my location lol. Will try to upload pic as soon as I can.

Im surprised a petco carries carpet anemones,
I,ve only had BTAs but haddoni supposedly have shorter tentacles than gigantea
Look at some pics on the interweb and see if you can tell a diff...
Otherwise post a pic and im sure someone mch more knowledgable than i
will be able to ID it for you.

My guess is that it's a atlantic carpet anemone if its the same ones that my petco gets and they are labeled as gigs too, Pic would really help with id.

I've seen Gigs, Haddoni, and Atlantic Carpets all labeled as Gigs at Petco... Pic would definitely help. :)

Yes, I bought a blue gig (not) from petco, I knew it was a haddoni. A blue 1 for $35.00 my petco steal of the year. OHYA

Here is a pic. It's not too clear, I know

Haddoni? Merten's?

Haddoni? Merten's?

Its solid tan. I heard most haddonis are two-colored. What does that mean exactly?, 2 different colored tentacles? Its kinda got this green hue to them sometimes. heard merten's aren't as sticky as giant and haddons, and mine is super sticky. Anyone recognize this carpet?

Hard to tell what type (haddoni maybe?), but it is not healthy. Gaping mouth and tentacles aren't full are not a good sign for it.

My initial guess is gig. mainly due to things that do not positively ID a stressed gig. such as attached to rock, tentacle rows and lack of lipstick but to really ID it we need a pic of under the disk. does it have purple dots on its column. Got cipro?

It has no visible verrucae, no bumps n spots that I can see on underside.
Yeah the tank was having some major issues with the tank on account that I put 2 huge lava rocks in my tank (some one told me they were cured, they most definitely were not) everything spiked, algae everywhere. Made anemone super sick. under side and column is a pale greenish color.
