Regarding glitter lines...

I've seen that now they are clustering the individual LED lights bulbs closely together, but does that result in a shimmer effect as nice as MH's?

I don't use a Solaris fixture but I do know that any point source of light will create the shimmer lines like Metal Halides.

Yes, the Solaris do glitter nicely. Its not as strong as MH however, and it does take some surface agitation, but they definitely glitter in a way that you cant get with T5 or PC.

I have the AI LED lights. They do produce a shimmer especially with a lot of surface aggitation.

My I series gives me about as much shimmer in my opinion as my reeflux 250's.

my blue moons shimmer at night almost as much as the MH during the day. really looks sweet. but i have heard that LED lights arent as good as the other types. i would still reccomend MH over any other type of lighting.
