I'm back.

Tape off the section where you want the silicon to get. Run a bead of silicon, and use the spoon (tongue depressor) to push the silicon into place making a nice corner. Afterwards, but while the silicon is still wet, pull off the tape. Makes for great looking siliconed corners.

You change tanks before it has a chance to get funky.

In a few months we'll see another post titled "I'm back again ." :D

Rendos....
If I goin live vicarious through your posts.. i demand you post Atleast one per pic per day.. ;) j/k

I have checked this thread 6 times today for updates.. LOL

BTW any tips on keeping the sand bed so clean....

Sand bed. I don't do anything special. A tiger tail cucumber, a couple of conchs, nassarius snails, and lots of flow to keep detritus in suspension...not in the sand bed.

Pictures...okay!
Tank is officially full. All pumps are running except the chiller pump. I got it in today and will plumb it soon. Salt is in the tank...feels a little strange using a whole bucket at one time, and still needing to add some more.

Glad to see you back. I noticed your broken tank seemed to break at each of the holes that were drilled. Did you ever conclude what happened? I have considered drilling glass before, but your picture freaks me out!
Also want to say thanks for helping me eventually get my tank from you know who...
Wrassta

No problem. I am very happy with my acrylic tank...just too bad that the manufacturer is not the greatest person for most to deal with.

My glass tank that broke - it was most likely pressure points from rock being stacked around the weak places...those being near the holes drilled in the bottom.
