I'm officially back!!!

Thanks guys. I'm going to take my time with this tank as I don't want to rush into things and get burned out. I thought 18" might be too low a height but now feel like I could have gone 16"! I love the shallow look.

Let me translate for you, "My tank will be filled up with corals by BAYMAC"

Thanks again guys. I really need to find my damn camera. It's so nice to hear from the local reefing "crew" here. I have missed you guys a lot and can't wait to hound you guys for some frags!!:) My tank should be cycled by BAYMAC so I will be there for sure! I even bought a couple tickets to the MAX show in So. Cal so I will be driving down there. Anyone want to go with me? Just meet at my place off 101 and we can carpool to LA!!

Sorry for a lack of updates. The tank is currently cycling and should be finished within a week or two. Here is a pic of the sump:

Very nice Sang

How easy was your apex to set up? Why features are you using?

LOL I dont really now how to set it up. It seems as if all the instructions are for a pc and I have a Mac now. I just got the heater working today and will try to program the lights when I hang them up later tonight. I kinda wish I had my old ac3 back as I know how to use that. The Apex just seems a bit more difficult to program as I lack any computer skill! I'm sure you have way more tech experience then me so it should be easy for you. I do know that once you interface the Apex and your computer, it is smooth sailing after that.

Hey Mark, since the vho's on my canopy are arranged from front to back, do you think that the light will even reach my tank? I just wonder how effective it will be? I just think that the middle of the tank will not be lit by the vho's. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Your not paranoid, neither do I

I always suggest placing the actinic in the way you are viewing the tank so your visual sight is supplemented by the pop. BUT, that is strictly a personal thing so why don't you start a thread over there and ask Sanjay ;)
