I'm officially back!!!

Hey guys! My tank will be 36x36x18. I decided go for a smaller tank this time so it would be manageable and to keep the electricity costs lower. I'm ordering the stand, canopy, and sump today from Max in San Jose. I'm going to be running a SLS large Lumenmax reflector in a hanging canopy. I decided to go with a single 400 watt 20k Radium for now. I may add vho actinics someday down the road.

Hey Jeremy! Unfortunately, I sold my NSX last year. It was sitting in my garage 99% of the time as I never drove it. I didn't want to take it anywhere out of fear of damage and it just became a money pit over time. It just didn't make sense to have it parked the whole time while spending thousands on it. However, with that said, I will get another sports car someday.

Maybe you await the next NSX replacement with the V10. Did you see the U-Tube videos of the HSV10? The new NSX is supposed to be faster than the Nissan GT-R.

Welcome Back Sang :D I knew it was only a matter of months when I saw you popping up on threads here and there, heheheh.

You will love the size of the new tank...my 7 month old "new" tank is a rimless, starphire 36 X 36 X 22 and I am really liking the setup. Tons of room under the tank for me to get at all of my components and a beautiful clean look. I have only a hanging fixture with no canopy. I look forward to your pictures as you get it going.

Hehe, the good ole unicorn.:spin3: Honda keeps stating every year that an NSX replacement is coming but it never happens. I think the NSX is dead for now.

Hi Alicia!! Wow, my tank will be similar to yours, very cool! I just came back from Aquarium Showroom and ordered the stand, floating canopy, and sump. Do you have any pics of your tank?

Yep...just not uploaded to my old site yet. I took some pics when I first got it going...plan is to add a few more corals and take a new shot with some sticks in it. Although they will be impossible to see since they are so small and the tank is so big. I have a ton of fish swim room, very open aquascaping and plan for very limited number of corals to allow for growth and large colonies over time...no fighting for space this go around. I have adopted a "less is best" approach to this tank :D.

Do you have two tanks now, Alicia? I totally agree with your "less is more philosophy". I think this time around, I'm going to be putting in less corals and enjoy the growing phase. Also, I really want some sort of extra special pair of clownfish. I want to try my hand at breeding and raising the fry.

Sang, check out the clowns over at Blue Ocean next time you're in the South Bay. There's a pair of Doni's snowcassos there at the moment. Very reasonably priced and has some decent markings.

BTW, missed you yesterday. Was gonna introduce myself but you were already on your way out the door at Max's. :P

Sang, ever heard of SNOWCASSOS'. pretty looking clowns IMO. I might try them myself.

Darn, sorry I missed you Eric. I'm going back there this week or weekend to drop off my reflectors and vho retrofit so that Max can build my hanging canopy around it.

My guru, my sensei, please teach me the ways of reefing.

Welcome back Sang :spin3:I'm almost back myself

It sure looks like my corals are going to be getting a good trimming very soon
