Hey everyone,
so i'm taking a break from the hobby. my first break since i've started. I never got my chiller up and running because the person i bought it from never sent the powerchord. Today i got home from a midterm to find that myt ank was at 86.5. I put in an ice pack that was in a plastic bag an left the room. the bag got clogged in the return for my refugium and the tank overflowed. about 10 gallons of water on the floor... The tank is now about a third filled, not including the refugium... I cant have somethign like this happen again, and i' have to sell everything anyways probably with the amount of water lost, i've jsut decided to take a break...
i'm bringing my stuff to puppy center tomorrow to ddrop off. I'll bag everythign up tonight, but i made this thread to sell a few things. I dont have time to go through equiptment right now, but i do have a few corals that are avalible for pick up tomorrow ONLY.

3" green annetarius maculatus. sorry if i spelt that wrong, but it's a wartskin angler and as AWESOME one. WHen i got him he was jet black, but after beign in my tank surrounded by corals and a 250 watt HQI, he turned a really nice green. I'll give him to the best tank.

12-14 heads of ORA duncan. Anyone who knows anything knows these are going for a lot of money a polyp. The cheapest i've ever seen for this strain is 65 bucks a POLYP. I'll let it go for 250 if someone wants to come and pick it up tomorrow. Too bad too, cause i was jsut considering fragging it. Or if someone wants a frag, they can come over tomorrow MORNING before i go to puppy center with some bone cutters and i'll sell them for 45 bucks a head.

I have lots more, but i jsut dont have the energy to deal with it... Those are just my favorite pieces and my most desireed ones... so i'm just goign to let them go.
thanks guys
i'll still be around, of course.

that sux bro! i hope things work out.... i would take the angler, but i have a bluestripe pipe which is tiny and i am sure would become a meal to the angler lol... maybe i can fit him in my tank at work let me know if no one wants him, good luck bro.

Sorry to hear that. 10 gallons is quite a bit of water. Makes me cringe thinking about that all over my floors.

Good luck.

thanks guys.
eric, pm me your number, i'll give you a call tomorrow morning. If not, it'll be at PC. i'll be there on sunday all day

sorry for the loss interested in the angler
thanks newton. are you able to pick up at some point tomorrow morning? Either that or it will be at puppy center. what tank would he be going in?

I can completely relate... I had a a similar thing happen to me last year that almost made me give up the hobby. My skimmer used to fill up really quickly and bubble on to the floor so one night before I went to bed I unplugged the skimmer. Well the air intake suction cups gave out and it fell off and dangled from the tank... forming a perfect siphon. I woke up to a half empty tank. It emptied out literally 25 gallons of water onto the floor of my 2nd floor apartment. I pulled up the carpet and it was concrete underneath so I didn't think much of it. Well low and behold it got into the HVAC of the whole building (85 apartments) and shorted out the system in the heat of the summer. They finally figured it out and billed me $500 for the repairs and the trauma of the whole thing still makes me extremely nervous every time I leave the house.

I feel for you man... it SUCKS!!!!
