In living Color

I was there the other day. I didnt have the "OMG" or "WOW" effect like some have said. Their display tanks are awsome, but seems by the look of them they might be a little too much for a store to maintain while maintaining the rest of the store, beings that there probably few that work there that would be qualified to maintain such displays. The owners seem to be the only "knowledgable" staff there, as when i asked about a few things they kinda seems stumpd' or searching for an answer to give me. For a mostly livestock store, what happens if they get a "Bad shipment" and a good % of the shipment is sickly? Do they close the store till they can sell healthy stock or just sell unhealthy stock? I did see some fin rot, ich, and flatworm in some of the tanks. I think having 14 2-4in tangs in a 30L tank could be part of the problem also. Prices were a little high, which i expected beings it a new store. Dont get me wrong the store has potential as do any, only time will tell.
jus some thought...

I'm sure that the displays will be maintained. Most of the corals in the big display tank came out of the owners' and staff's tanks, so they have a vested interest in its success. They do not plan on being just a livestock store, but they will grow the rest of the business when they have the space to do so. As to knowledgable staff, I think they have enough, but they are still trying to find the right mix of staffing to cover the hours they are open.
