My LFS has ordered me a hadonni and it will be in at the end of next week. My LFS ordered it from a wholesaler that often deals with nems. The nem I am getting has been at the wholesaler's facility for about a month and a half and is reportedly quite healthy. My question is whether I should be prepared to take the anemone upon receipt (assuming it looks healthy when it come in) or if it should be acclimated at my LFS and held for a week or two? My LFS has already agreed to the later. My concern is moving the nem too often/soon.

i'd either take the NME right home still in the bag, or i'd let it acclimate at the LFS for 1 1/2- 2 weeks. Nothing in-between.

I wouldn't trust any LFS to care for an anemone. I would get it into an appropriate environment where it can begin to heal ASAP.

I think acclimating the anemone is stressful enough. I wouldn't want to put it through that more than necessary, especially in such a short period. If I could skip the LFS in between, I totally would. I think most of us on here have cleaner water in our tanks than most LFS.

Thanks guys, I figured the same. My LFS is quite good about maintenance. I was more concerned about moving it too much but I also would feel better about getting it in my tank rather than theirs. I will let them know to call me when it comes in and I'll run and get it before the bag is opened.
