Inside Sun MH bulb for $ 30.00 ???

Hmmm, I sure hope they correct their (obvious error) for you.
The yellow in my bulbs has diminished a bit, but it's still a far cry from "crisp white". I am getting my VHO supplements tommorrow from my LFS who promised to match the lowest net prices. I am getting two ARO ballasts for $ 109 a piece and 4 72" bulbs...can't wait to be able to look at the tank and not think " Gosh it's yeller....." But my corals like the new bulbs, no doubt about that....
Going to a frag swap tommorrow here in Ft. Lauderdale (I'm bringing money....) :)

Inside Sun

Inside Sun

I just ordered some 175 watt on 10\28\04 I'll let you know how they turn out. If anybody else has bought any Id like to here your input.

I got my VHO supplements up this weekend.
And we managed to install them with only one screw falling in the tank :( I can see it, but can't get to it, need to find me a magnet..
Well the VHO's did the trick and they did it good. With only the actinics running the yellow is completely gone and when I turn on the 50/50's the tank is absolutely gorgeous! So instead of my old MH with 525W I now have 1165 Watts, and it looks great, I am thrilled out of my mind. At the price, I won't hesitate to get 3 new ones from Inside Sun in 6 month.

Well my 250w 10k is still yellow/green. Im gonna take it out as soon as I get more funds for another bulb. The only good thing about is all my corals love it. But its to ugly. I think im going try the Hamilton 14k this time around.

Got mine the other day they where alittle yellow at first but there getting whiter. I have alot of atinic blue so it looks fine and getting better every day. Vary happy with them thats just what I think you have to makeup your own mind. I hope this helps some of you, you sure can't beat the price.

I agree, mine are looking great with the actinics on, my corals (except the Xenias for some reason are melting right now) like the lights a lot and I would not hesitate to buy another set when the times comes.

It has been 9 days now and the bulb is starting to burn into a white/green color. It does look ok with the actinics but I would prefer a little more blue. Here's a pic with all lights on

Just an update, I still have not recieved my replacement setup. Alsmost 2 weeks now since he said he would send it out. After the 1st week I emailed him back, and he tried to act like he had never even heard of me, even though I had returned the same email thread we had started. I again asked him the status of my correct setup, then he stopped returning my emails. After serveral days, I contacted him on the phone, he said my shipment went out Monday, So, Im still waiting.

Speckled Grouper...

Have the lights taken on any bluish qualities since you've been using them, or are they whiteish/green like jhcivicex is noting?

I'm thinking about getting some as backups, just in case.

Thanks

Updates?

Updates?

Just curious as to how everyone's Inside Sun lights are doing?

Mine are still very white with a hint of blue!

I have noticed that if I disturb the lights, i.e. remove canopy, move tank, bump MH accidentally, it will burn noticeably yellower (that even a word?) for a few days but eventually returns to normal.

Just curious.

Thinking about the $80 400W. Is it worth it or should I find something else?
I've got 4X55 PC that has 4 actinic 03s. Will this be enough to make the yellow go away. This is over my standard 48in 75.

I have still yet to get my 400w bulb from the complete setup I bought. After several weeks of horrible customer service, he finally sent me the MH ballast I ordered, instead of the HPS he sent me. But he has yet to send me the 400w upgraded bulb that I bought. So, I now have a 400w HPS, and a 400w MH, and neither of them have the bulb that I ordered to run. Whats its been?-almost 2 months- I have finally given up on this company

I bought those Plus bulbs on ebay and had a bad yellow problem, and after going from true 10,000k's I can say that these bulbs will shift to a yellow more along the lines of a 6500k.. I complained and sent them back, well the replacements are doing the same thing.... crazy thing is that if I open my canopy and swing the light fixture back (my halides are affixed to my canopy lid) the light will shift back to the 10,000k crisp white look. These replacements are doing better, holding the 10000k mode longer, but I'm going to be looking for replacements. Coral have to be going nuts.... hth...
