Internationaly Wanted: Mantis Shrimp!

Hello,

The Mantis Shrimp amazes me beyond words.

I learned about it earlier this year and, with 0 experience with aquariums, I decided I would keep one.

Invested a lot of time into understanding what they need and how to provide it (this forum was the main source).

Sadly I can't find one where I live.

I'm absolutely focused in getting one.

I've made a list of those that interest me / whose needs I can care for:

- N. Wennerae
- G. Smithii
- G. Graphurus
- G. Viridis
- N. Bredini
- N. Oerstedii

As far as i know, the N. Wennerae and the N. Oerstedii can be found in the US.

My plea is for someone who knows of a way to get any of those species shipped to Portugal (Europe).

Altough I'm not rich by any means, really have a great interest in caring for one of this amazing beings.

Thank you!

I've received stomatopods from the Cape Verde Islands. You might be able to find a marine collector who can supply some. A common small species is Protosquilla folini.. (see attached)

There are a few other species reported from there, but I haven't seen them.

Thank you, I'll give that a try!
