Internet connection stopped

I had my internet connection set up just fine. I was able to access it on my iphone with both Aquanotes and via the web at cjsiii.dyndns.org:9001. Everything was working perfectly, until yesterday. No settings were changed but now I can't access it at all. What changed? I can't even access it through my home network. Thanks in advance for your help.

You have to give some more information.

Do you get the login screen?
What is the error message you get?
Can you telnet into the controller when this happens?
Can you access the internet from your PC when this happens?

1. No, I can't access the login screen anymore.
2. It says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at cjsiii.dyndns.org:9001"
3. Not sure what "Telnet" is, but I can not access it from my local network nor can I access it remotely.
4. Yes, I can access the internet just fine from both my Iphone and from my computers. Both at home where my computer is connected to the router and from an outside computer.

I have changed nothing and it worked just fine until the other day. I also can no longer get access to Aquanotes

Can you access your controller from Firefox using its IP address instead of the DynDNS name? Something like http://192.168.1.50:9001 or whatever your IP and port combo is.

What is the error message you receive?

Have you tried to reboot or power cycle
your PC
your router
your controller

to see if that makes the problem go away?

I wanted to answer. I did unplug my controller from the EB8 and did a power cycle. It now works again. Does it just go out occasionally?

I guess you need to monitor it and see if the problem re-occurs. If it does, then you'll have to start the process of elimination to see what might be causing it. I've been chasing a problem for a few weeks now where mine will stop responding for a while and I think I have it traced to a new DVD player I put on my network. So, it can be lots of things.

Wow...that's crazy! Mine does the same thing...rather frequently. Probably once or even twice a week. How did you go about tracking it down? Any tips? Thanks!

This is kinda odd that some are having the same issue around the same time. My apex dropped its internet connection the day before yesterday. Still trying to figure it out. Display still is good. I am also running the lastest version. Nothing was done to make this happen on my part. Nothing new added to the network. Kinda strange. I also was having cell service issues in my house, when I usually have none.

I have this same issue by the way. I have only been able to resolve it by rebooting frequently. Alternatively I have my wife reboot it when I'm away if it doesn't respond. I made a post about it as well. As far as I can tell this is a common issue.

I did a reboot and it fixed it. Just have to wait and see if it happens again. Does anyone know if curt is aware of this issue.

Ditto - I had the exact same problem this weekend. Of course it happened while I was on a business trip. I had my wife reinitialize the wireless game controller, didn't help. Had her hardwire the controller to the router, didn't help. I would have had her unplug and re-connect the power to the controller, but she ran out of patience to keep helping! I unplugged and reconnected the controller when I got home and everything was back to normal. Curious that we all experienced this at a similar time...

I'm not sure which internet provider you are using, but my 2wire router/modem from Att UVerse has been having random issues lately; it would stop responding to the Apex and my wife's ipod, showing them offline even when they were actively trying to connect. I had to reboot the router a few times here and there, but it seems to be ok now.

You might be having the same problem I'm having. I narrowed it down to toggling off and then back on the DHCP in the Net setup. Try doing that when it goes out again and see if you can view things from your phone.

I just posted a new thread hoping that someone can offer a solution.

when mine doesnt work i cant get to it through the hard wire either. I use a DROID as well. have you tried toggling the DHCP off and back on to see if it works?

for me its either a communication problem from my wireless hub to my router or my ACIII to the hub. but toggling the dhcp off and back on resets something.

Is the DHCP toggle off option something that's available on the controller screen? I'm not near mine now, but I vaguely recall seeing something on one of the menus...

We have had this problem several times, rebooting seems to be the only solution to get it back online. No idea why it happens.

I have this problem off and on all the time. I access using my iPhone and using my laptop. Seems that if I go unplug and reconnect the controller it will start working again. I would say I have to do this at least once a week if not more. It's like I have to reset the controller after a while.
