Coming from planted tanks and a background in landscape photography, I'm looking to aquascape with corals - I'm not a fan of the "fruit stand" look that most reef tanks seems to have, especially SPS dominated tanks (not trying to start a flame here, just stating a personal opinion).
It just so happens that my wife and I like easier to keep and cheaper corals; lucky us. And yes Randy, she is in charge of fish.
The idea is something like large areas of Zooanthus sp. and Palythoa sp. over most of the tank (more area of less vars.), GSP kept to a single rock towards the top, maybe xenia on the top rock, orange and green Ricordea florida and perhaps some other (non-brown) mushrooms along the sides towards the back where the light and flow is lower. Maybe some Frogspawn down low on an isolated rock if we're feeling lucky - chicka chicka yeah!
