Looks like a Milli but definitely not an Abro

DaddyJax you are confusing a.abrotanoides w/ a.abrolhosensis.

Very nice abrotanoides you have there though.

Not an Abrolhensis.
They are native to the Abrolhos Islands
which is about 300 miles north of where
I live.
Also they are not pink, normal colour is grey with purple axial coralites.

Nice coral but looks like a Mili to me.

So the debate continues. Guess I'll take a few pics from the front and a few more when it grows out some more. Thanks for the input guys!

I will try to get a better pic of mine for comparison as well. It is twice that size now.

well whatever it is it's a very nice coral, and i would like to know if i can have a frag of that let me know :eek1::eek1::D

Thanks Jeremy. Hugo when I decide to release frags I'll let you know. I have a few others you might be interested in as well and we can work out a trade.

Looks very similar to a frag I just bought from someone in austin. Almost bought the whole colony. I would post the picture of it but it has their name on it. Mine is in quarantine and has lost color, but I keep his original picture for reference. It was sold as a Mille. Beautiful coral.

I just talked to Bruce at Aqua Tek and he told me the story of this piece. It came in about seven years ago completely browned out. He had it for sale in one of his tanks for a few months but no one bought it. He moved it to his show tank and placed the coral up high and in good flow. After a few months it turned green and then pink. He tells me the coralites turn blue (which hasn't happened yet) He sold a few frags but thinks most of them died off. He's not 100% sure it was the albro but didn't think it was a milli either due to the unusual growth pattern. I'm just happy to have this little gem now and look forward to the blue coralites!
