Buyer fell through. I will lower this one more time to $115
For $115, this is a good investment considering how much money we have invested in our systems. Especially considering how many peoples tanks we saw ruined this last 10 days.

I was told that I shouldn't run over 315 watts off my cigarette lighter in my car and I wanted something larger than 400 or 750 watt inverter.

Coleman Powermate Inverter- 2000 Watts with a 4000 Watt peak. Excellent condition, so I'd have to say LIKE NEW...I bought this after the storm this summer. I bought if from someone but doesn't look like it's ever been used.
However, I just bought a 5,000 watt generator so I don’t need this. I have personally never used it as I haven't needed it. (knock on wood) Hooks directly to your battery of your vehicle or any 12V source. Comes with the cables. Also comes with 8 replacement 30-Amp Fuses.
2000 Watts with a 4000 peak (especially with starting pumps, etc…)
Here is a link that gives some more information.

I guess everyone w/o a generator or inverter would rather come post about everything dying.

You wouldn't think so but there sure was a lot of panic during the outage and a number of I lost it all threads. On both boards.

Pretty weird IMO...That's why I bought this after the outage in the summer even though I wasn't one without power.

I certainly don't mind helping out...I offered this out last week to whoever needed it. No one replied. Then, I read numerous threads of down tanks? I know you, clark, have lent out your generator to SEVERAL people during the one this summer. Very generous and I know not everyone can afford a generator or inverter but it all boils (no pun inteneded) to being prepared. It simply amazes me that people will say, my tank got down to 45 degrees and I lost everything as I didn't have anything I can do.

I go to all the LFS's and as I don't nec. know all the owners, etc... but I get the feeling that should something like that happen, ANY of the LFS's would do what they could to help out...

My point is, there are options.

I myself am guilty of "little inverter syndrome". :D But I can at least run my main pump and a few lightbulbs for myself. My parents asked my wife what I wanted for Christmas and she told them a generator of about 5000 so I'm crossing my fingers.

Yeah, I think I remember picking up/bringing Rum, Ice, and extra inverter, fan, extension cords (in order of importance) and sitting in the dark for about 8+ hours.

BUT, you made it work!

Throw an extension cord down from the balcony. When the power is out people don't really complain about that kind of thing. Otherwise the cops would be called out on all the generators running at night.

true, true. First I'd have to get that parking spot.

Second, at night I'm not all about waking up every couple hours to go run the car for 15 minutes.

I did have cuasulties dueto the power outage this novemeber. I am planning on buying a generator for future outages, otherwise this would be a great deal.
