Organic contamination in the second month until i install activated carbon, because 15% water change beweekly and mangrove is not good enough eliminate organic waste ,cause some sps turn brown, stn and rtn badly and caused nuisance algae like gha and cyano

Are you having bryopsis issues? Or its just in one spot?

Hi Jgonz, yes before i install activated carbon, i think bryopsis is cause of high organic waste in my tank, but now my sand , live rock so clean. No gha, no cyano, no nuisance algae just little detritus.

How do you like the mangroves? Trying to decide weather to add them or not

whitrose02, i plant mangrove is for backup plan, for organic absorbent and good for water clarity, beside carbon activated. Today , i want to remove carbon activated and change to seachem purigen, many review is the best organic absorbent for quantity in the market and the clarity is over carbon
