Irritants

Okay so I am a newbie to Zoo's and I got my first colony about 2 weeks ago. The piece was full of them, so much that they were growing on the underside of the piece. Over the last couple days I have noticed that they do not seem to be opening that much and today they are all closed up. I have noticed these red looking threads around the colony (maybe spaghetti worms)? Also I noticed a small, about 3/8" serpent starfish hitchhiker roaming around the closed colony tonight. After reading I realize that I should have done a dip on the colony, but I was kinda ignorant at that point. Are the red thread like worms & the mini serpent star things to worry about. Will they open back up or is this something I need to take care of? Only other thing I have in the tank is a small colony of FL ricordias. All parameters are at zero, and ph is at 8.2. Thanks for any help :)

I would dip them. Even if just a fresh water dip. BUT 2 weeks, HUMM They should be all opening ???? They might had a lot of stress during shipping. Lights ???

No, they have been open and fine for almost all of that two weeks, just the last couple days they have been closing up. I noticed as well there is worms in the piece of live rock beside them. Not sure if the worms came in on the live rock or the Zoo's.

Will just a fresh water dip take care of the worms or do I need to put in any additives (lugols)?

Thanks for the replies.
