Is it OK for my lawnmower to eat mysis?

I know, usually we have to really work to get our livestock trained to mysis, but I noticed tonight that my lawnmower is actively eating it - not just a little, and not just keeping his space clear - but actively.

He's got plenty of vegetable matter in the tank to eat. His tummy always looks like the bottom of your thumb - and about as wide.

I thought they were vegetarians only. Guess he couldn't read the book.

Does anyone else's lawnmower eat meat?

I had one that would mow through the mysis and then go back to grazing on the rocks.

I figured he was just being equal opportunity...lol

Most small fish are opportunistic feeders. They may be primarily grazers but will eat anything that fits in their mouths. Unlike our tanks, a wild reef is a bad neighborhood so adaptability is a must.
