Is it possible to restrict carpet nem movement?

Is it possible or practical to make a tank divider with eggcrate to restrict a carpet from moving to much? I have a 120g and a 10" haddoni that bumped into other coral, even moving rocks I placed it its way. I was also paranoid because the cardinals kept hovering over it so I moved it to a temp at tank. Before I get rid of the nem (it's actually hard to sell a large plain carpet nem here), Has anyone tried this? I could give him a 1x2 section at one end of the tank.

Hoewe deep is your sand bed. They look for a place they can bury their column in. Also haddonis don't appreciate a lot of current.

Yes, if it's not happy, it will keep moving, and yes a deep sandbed and low flow are the key to keeping them in place for Haddoni anyways, Also sick nems will never usually stop moving until they are dead This is usually why the best looking nems have the tank set up around them
