Is my Anemone sick?

My clown fish turned my anemone around today and I saw these things on the bottom of its foot. What is it?

Sorry man, but that's a death sentence IMO. That type of anemone is a LTA, and your's is badly bleached, so it was sick from the start. But even in good health, tears on the foot like that will almost always kill that species.

What LTA stands for, Long Tentacle Anemone I suppose? I'm new to the hobby and not familiar with the acronyms. Anything that I should do to try and help it?

Yes LTA = Long Tentacle Anemone. The scientific name is Macrodactyla Doreensis if you wanna look them up on Google. I don't really know what to say for help though, it's in pretty bad shape. I guess make sure your water has nitrates under 20ppm, phosphates under .03, no ammonia or nitrites... Salinity should be 1.023-1.025, alkalinity should be 10-12. These are all numbers that will make things worse if they do not match up.

Also, being new to the hobby, you need to know that since all these parameters have to be SO specific, it is usually a bad idea to put an anemone in a tank that is under a year old. And it is always a bad idea to get an anemone until you know what kind it is, so that you can tell if it is healthy, and what environment it will want. For instance, the LTA is a sand anemone, and (when healthy) will want to be buried in at least 3 inches of sand, with low flow and VERY bright lights.

I wish you the best of luck, but there's not much else I can offer.

The water parameters that you specified are what I currently have in my tank. After I read your post last night (and after reading a similar post) I dug a hole and put the anemone on the bottom glass of my fish tank just to help it attached but my clown does not let the nem alone for a sec and today when I woke up I found the nem on the other side of my tank and the tentacles look worse than before. Also the mouth is completely closed up but it seems like the "lips" are swollen.

Thanks for all the help. Hopefully it is going to survive....

To stop the clowns, you can take a plastic crate, like the kind strawberries come in, and place it over the LTA. Just set a rock on top so it won't blow away.

As for burying it, feel free to try again, but usually they will just dig themselves up when their foot is hurt. It's almost like they don't want to recover.

I really don't know how this happened. Is there a chance that my clown "loved it to death"? I didn't see the tears when I brought it home so I don't know what might have caused that. Also it was hiding a lot during the first week (inside corners) and when I finally got my T5's it moved in the front of the tank by itself and then it started dying. I don't think is going to make it through the night so i will just take it out before it poisons my tank

RIP...I took it out from fish tank and kept it separate to help it heal but after an hour or so the water became milky and it deflated completely. Also the smell was not pleasant either. I'm new to the sport so It was bad to learn the hard way and in the expense of another creature. No more anemones until my tank is completely established...
