Is there such a thing as too fat ?

I started feeding sea veggies "seaweed" for the Yellow Tang, and now its a fight as to who gets to finish the "weed" every night. Since I started feeding it the blenny has....grown (in the girth) A LOT ! lol
Is there such a thing as too fat ?

Great question. I've noticed the pink spotted shrimp goby I've had for over four years now has developed a plump lower belly just past his front lower fin (sorry don't know it's name) and going back about an inch. BTW, he's about 6" long. He's shy or I'd post some pics. I'll try to get some.

I wouldnt worry. My tang and yellow damsel are quite fat. "Fatty McGee" is the yellow dasel.

I posted this same exact question with the same exact fish about 6-9months ago, you remember Matt?

And it was indeed obese like yours. All was good for a 3-4 months after, till there was no slime for him to graze, or some dark evil lurking under a rock got at em ,bless his heart Definately one of my favorites as far as personality goes.

Thanks for the info guys. I was just wondering since I've had him over a year and this past month is the first time hes ever been this fat. Hopefully I won't have to worry about him running out of food, since hes eating dried seaweed with the tang.

BTW, Justin, the package arived yesterday - thanks. If you happen to see the little "L" shaped piece that lets you hang it on the tank, let me know. I couldn't find it in the box. No big deal as I was going to mount it on a Magfloat (when I get one lol) but had planned on just hanging it until then.

Lol. I was wondering the same thing. Walter, my algea blenny looks the same, like he is pregnet. He sits on the clip while my tangs eat, then finishes off whatever is left. He is a pig. He'll eat right out of your hand too. If your taking to long to put seaweed in the clip and you hands in the water, he'll just start eating from your hand. He also likes to get his picture taken, because strangly every picture I try taking of the tank, his little face is in somehow.
