Is this hitchhiking thing an Abalone?

Hi everybuddy,

Any idea what this critter is? I've guessed it's some manner of Abalone, but just am not sure. It has a smaller shell than I would expect on an abalone, and it seems to have "fingers" that come up over the sides of the shell and hold it down. Every once in a while those fingers that hold down on the edges of the shell raise and tap the shell, then lay back down. This is now my favorite subject in the tank to photograph, for sure. Its beautiful blue and pink swirl on the top of its shell, then a nice green and tan pattern around the lower half of the shell, and the beautiful green and white body flesh.

Its a stomatella, harmless algae grazer
