my mated pair of clowns are a true percula female and a false percula male.

They have had many babies before alternating with true percula and false.

I paid $140 shipped for the pair. Was it worth it? or did I overpay?


Reason i ask, Is I am looking for another pair to buy for my 2nd tank.

No, it is not rare for a true perc and Ocellaris (false perc is a bad/confusing term) to mate.

The babies are not "altering true perc and ocellaris)" they are a hybrid of both species. Just like humans having kids, the offspring may appear more or less similar to one of the species.

I couldn't tell you much about the price.

Very common. Price seems about twice what I would expect to pay unless they are something exotic like a picasso, midnight, platinum, etc.

I disagree with this. If they are spawning, then $140 shipped is a good price for a proven pair that's consistantly laying eggs.
