ahem, Duncan colony??? which one is it?
By the way, Peter Eichler - very american name - Not! Just like mine :-), not very australian...

Yeah, it's just a touch German ;)

I guess I didn't look closely enough. At first glance I thought you had a big Duncan colony in the third pic on the upper left.

it is one, see 2 posts up. My LFS sold it for aussie $ 55. Got another smaller one somewhere on the other side of the tank

Your parameters are probably what make it grow so fast. Not all corals like "perfect" conditions, some actually like the water on the dirty side.
I agree! When I first started keeping corals, they grew just fine. Then as I started to pay more attention to parameters, additives etc, etc, etc. Bam! Xenia's died, star polys stopped coming out. So I learned a valuable lesson what helps some, will hurt others. I guess some corals just like slumming it :D

just goggled it (Duncanopsammia axifuga ), AU$ 55 from memory

Awesome, I don't feel the least bit dumb for paying $70 for one polyp

Anyhow, keep it, it's almost getting to the point where soft corals are becoming a rarity in this hobby. Like others have suggested, just trim as needed.
