Is Tunzstream 6100's internal sealed with epoxy?

Hi Roger,

I have a 3 years old 6100. When I tried to clean the coraline alage on the pump recently, I accidently poke a hole on the pump body right next to the intake screen. I just wonder if the pump is sealed intenally with epoxy like a Maxijet? If not, will any part release some bad metal ions (such as copper, ...) into my tank?

Yes, it is sealed and there is normally a tear drop hole wear you describe, it is pretty hard to punch a hole through the casing.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. It's not a hole throught the casing. It's just a small piece plastic cracked.
