Nick, I will shoot you an email when ready. Save the next peppermint angel for me ok?

Alicia, you got the idea down. This is only good for SPS corals though. Some people have commented on the heat issue. I have had my light on 10 hrs a day and heat output is the same as any other MH. What's my plan for having all these lights? Stage timing the lights throughout the day meaning not having some lights on during the day while others are off to balance the heat issue with a dawn/dusk effect.

Rob, looks like I was able to make out the German diagram. No problems there. Thanks for the offer though. As for the lights, I know what I am after. It should be very nice once the light project is complete. I am being patient on what I have custom ordered. :) :) As for shading.. thats a good thing in my book. Looks more natural. :)

Edward, do you have a picture of your Ca reactor plugged? I would like to see how you did it as a reference for when i will get mine :) Thanks!

I had more questions on my flow design.. here's a drawing of how i anticipate the flow to work. With the flow actually going up, it actually cycles to the top and back to the bottom. Its not strong flow, but enough for Softies which is what I am after. This is all CL and 2 returns on top (1 is only activated now).

i2ik, it's really messy in my garage. I would rather not post the pic publicly. I can send it to you through email. Its real easy.

Nick, got the email. Make sure the peppermint is disease free ok? ;) As for my setup.. yes.. stags on left side and softies/LPS on right. Anything that is low to moderate flow will be on the right side.

Hotrod, it was about the direction of flow from the outputs of the CL as they shoot straight up.

Haha I will make it is in top shape. Maybe I can train it to sit and stay like a dog would, lol :). Maybe even roll over :D.

I cannot wait to see this thing with all the lights on! When are you going to have all the lights up?

Nick

Nick, in a couple of months. Sounds like a long time, but it will be here soon.

robster, I didnt order it. AE brought it with them during the delivery of my tank and installed it on the spot.

Gilprado, Would love too, but the eductors would be an eye sore. Im very picky about looks.

you wont have lights for a couple months?

tank is really amazing will be very nice and clean with no pumps in the tank

amazing looking setup, what kind of spotlight is that? is it something made for aquariums or are you just experimenting?

Good things come to those who wait.. at least I hope it works out that way with my lighting system. There is nothing on the market today that interests me for my core lights, but I do have something else in the works. It will take a couple months to get here.

Holyscoly, im experimenting.

sammie, it should be www.aquariumenvironments.com
You can also contact your local LFS to talk to AGE.

Edward,

I'm very glad I found this thread. Your 100g was an inspiration for me; most reefers dont' spend a lot of time thinking about the structure of their reef and how it affects coral culture, flow and aesthetics. I was wondering what you were up to these days and apparently you have been busy!

Everything looks really amazing. I was a little skeptical of the plexi bottom on the AE tanks but it seems to have a great number of advantages over a regular glass bottom.

Bravo to you for blazing a new trail! Impressive as always. I can't wait to see things progress.
