Ed, I just love your planning and attention to detail, you've done a great job so far.
You've got my vote for 'Aquascape of the month' :)

What's the height of the water level in your tank?

I remember Mr Hiroyuki's(Rainbow Lagoon)is a favourite of yours, another amazing Japanese tank!

6500K Spotlight at 150w. Very bright! Notice how there is a beam of light in the 2nd pic (angle distorts true area). This is exactly what I was looking for. So I can aim it at the SPS filled rock at an angle. The concentration of light in one area is very intense! It makes my 10K 250wDE's in my last tank inferior to the spotlight. Of course, the coverage is minimal.

Do you have access to any light measuring equipment like a apogee meter? Would be interesting to see the PAR at the center of that beam....it's intense.

Baros, its 1" from the top. Is that what you were asking? Yes, I remember the Rainbow Lagoon. Too bad his website is not active anymore. His tank was very young.

mbuna, I only need two.

fisheebill, thank you.

Brian, tell me about it.

dandy, I sure dont.

Any links to where I could get some spot lights?

looks great invicible
great thing about the spots is the ability to use filters and the fact that you can always add more it would be great to hit a section of LPS with a very blue bulb to make them pop all day
also there is defenetlly something special about the angled spots and the way they spread the light
thanks for the shot i need a lil hit of this tank once every few days

Ben and bobi there is a FTS somewhere it is also his avatar

i have seen those reflectors dont seem like they work at anglesvery well

Drs foster and smith sell them also hamilton bell pendants would work but im looking for those small ones the japanese have

Edward, just saw your DTOTQ, wow, that was an awesome tank!
I like how you went from an in- wall, covered tank to a totally open one.
Great change!

Thanks for clearing this up. The thread can get kind of long and all this info gets sunk farther and farther into these posts.

Just got word that my exclusive imported core lights will be here in exactly one month. Im also planning to have my stand completed by this time. Im excited as both of these things will complete the aquarium presentation.

fisheebill, thanks! It was pretty simple getting someone to come out and patch up the wall. I had to tear a big hole in the wall to get the stand in the house from the garage. As for the in wall.. I kind of grew out of it and wanted a 4 viewable sided tank.
