GSM, im definitely not running against him. I am going for a total different reef theme. We're just passionate reefkeepers just like everyone else. :)

only mentioned it because you both seem to have amazing tanks ;)

by the way, the angels are awsome

By the way, I tried out a Poma Angel. It was beautiful. It didnt make it. It wasnt eating at the LFS and they asked if I wanted to try it, but still did not eat. RIP. This Angel is in the same family as the Meredithi/Personifer/Conspic. I love his gradient color and yellow outline.

Ed, have you made up a list of fish to go in the tank, or is it a case of whatever catches your eye goes in?

You have to get a conspic:D, it would look awesome in your tank!

asnatlas, thanks. Wish he would of started to eat, but he was already on the edge.

zoos, the only update I have is that the spotlight setup is taking longer than I expected. I am doing this by trial and error and noticed that I need to customize the length of the stem to the bulb. I have extra parts lying around now. And when I have to order something, it takes 3 wks.

Baros, I do have a list. These fish were on that list. The Conspic is not on my list because it seems to be a lot more common kind of like the Goldflake. Im going for fish that you rarely see, but also pleasing to the eye. Sometimes the circumstances may change so I am not against any beautiful fish.

Got any better pics of your personifer Edward :)

I've gotten used to calling it a Personifer even though its a Meredithi. ;) Let me try and shoot some pics. Its a bit hard since my lighting setup isnt complete and these guys are on the area where there is no light. :) I like taking pics without the flash, but then you cant see the blue in the nape area.

naka, your joculator may bully around these fish. ;) You should of kept my scribble. This guy is doing well. Loves to eat and very active. He's not scared of me either. Always runs up to me when I stand next to the tank.

Nice! Looks like its fully matured and therefore has the brilliant colors. I wonder if they will ship to Houston?

Well first of all, i do not know that store because I am in Miami, but if you're really interested PM one of those members that have seen the fish in person and maybe they can do a thorough inspection for you, make sure he's eating and in tip top shape, I would contact the owner of the shop and see what he says. I'm sure he doesn't want a $1200.00 fish sitting at his shop for too long.

Get them while they are young, train like nbd13 does in his preliminary tank, feed sponges as treats, & keep them well fed.

By the way.. one thing that I didnt like about the Japanese guy I am talking to is that he runs his tank at 73 degrees!! In Houston, my electric bill would skyrocket. Not only that, it lessens the life of the chiller which sets me up for failure.
Depends on chiller really. You get one with correct loading and some sort of capcity control you will be alright. Components of chiller play a big part (thanks for buying US btw). Safeties and redundancy are also critical. PM me if you have any questions on that aspect of tank.

That's why I love the ecochiller. Course it's not humid during the summer here so that makes the whole thing viable....

Andy, thanks for the offer. Thats one thing that I am clueless about. I see that you are a HVAC pro. :)

A Butterfly you say?? No... its a Vermiculated Angel! Believe it or not, its in the same family, Chaetodontoplus, as the Conspic, Personifer, Poma, etc.
