It is true that Tunze is going to launch a new multicontroller the end of the year?

I believe release date for the 7096 is expected to be Dec/Jan.

Just to note the 7095 will still be produced and is not going away.

Yes, it will come in Dec/Jan. It does not replace 7095, it is only another option. It can be programmed with a computer but is useless without one. You cannot program any of the features without a USB port on a computer running Windows or Mac OS X.

About $175, it is cheaper than the 7095 because it has a lot fewer LED's and switches, it is basically a flash memory card and some ports.

Hardwired. The unit is still powered by the pump and it cannot run more than the one LED as it doesn't get enough power from the pump. The LED though is a new one that has twice the intensity of the 7095 LED.

The ad said Windows XP/Vista, but you also mentioned Mac.

How exactly is the software controlled? Via a dedicated program or through a web interface?

Any chance of hooking a wireless bridge up to it an making it controllable through a network?

Assuming one was willing to hook the unit up to a computer, is there any compelling reason to buy the 7095 vs the 7096?

Yes, we decided to include Mac support, or I should say, I pushed for Mac support as that is all I use. It may not be released with Mac support but it will follow soon and you will be able to download it if we don't include it.

It is controlled by a dedicated program.

This may be possible with USB bluetooth dongles but it has not been tried, but we speculate it may work.

The 7095 is sticking around primarily for maintenance companies and those that are uncomfortable with computers or just would rather keep it simple.
