First business trip since the new tank was set up. Gave my 12 year old daughter a crash course on caring for it. Other than the back wall being a little dirty, it looks just fine. Big relief and kudos to Belle for handling it like a champ.

The guy at the LFS had me and her "watch the store" while he went and picked up a sandwich he ordered. He gave her a free frag for holding down the fort. She has a 3 gal nano with a clown and a shrimp. She wants a 25 gal they have for sale. I'm down but mom is not, LOL.

Well if she can maintain a 3 gallon and keep everything alive, the 25 gallon should be no problem. Picos can be very difficult to keep going strong. My daughter would like an aquarium too, but I don't know if I trust her with that yet. She's only 8.

We started my 9-year-old with a betta two years ago. I wanted to see if he'd lose interest. He now has a 5gal planted tank, I have a 30 gal planted tank, and the 55 gal reef. Both my boys want reef tanks now (they are 5 and 9)
