its hip to be square....

Lol! Sort of. I love that the company is growing fast. But sometimes the hours(19 hour day one day) stop me from doing what I want to do but it's slowly changing to make our lives easier.....

My plan is to use window tint on the back of the tank to black it out. I've been debating MH or using my current LEDs. I think I'm gonna go with he LEDs. Just gotta finish changing out he diodes to make the spectrum a little more full

Ok, it's official the tank is getting set up here! I was contemplating buying a home, but with the possibility of relocation due to my job I chose against buying and possibly having to sell within a year. It was a tough decision but one I have been contemplating for some time.
So the next questions I have are......which ATO are you guys using and do you like it? I need a new one and am leaning towards the Tunze or avast but open to others. Also I need a dehumidifier for this place this winter. How do I properly size one? Room size, apartment size? Any suggestions
Who is using a manifold off heir return pump? Do you like it would you do it again? Do you get consistent water flow?

Thanks
Corey

I have used float switches with my apex, the jbj ato and most recently the avast deluxe package. By far I like the avast the best my only complaint is the pump is crazy loud. My tank was in the basement and I could here the pump going on the 2nd floor. I recently picked up an LM3 with water change module at an amazing price so I will be adding the ato module to that and will use that for my ato needs.

Well I'm selling off my LEDs and going back to metal halides. Biggest reason is the eurobrace opening on the tank is a perfect size for a single pendent. 4 LEDs would be too much for the opening and half of them would be over he acrylic eurobrace. Not sure if it matters but I rigged it up and wasn't impressed with the look of it

Hard to beat the Radium, unless you add VHO SuperActintics then it becomes a near perfect light.

Thanks jack. I think I found some lumenarcs close to me. A guy has a few for sale. 19.5x19.5x9 are the dimensions. Gonna grab 1 this week. He has a few for sale

Hey Corey, I have decided to go MH on my next tank and I am bouncing between 20k radiums with VHO or dropping down to a 175w 14k or 15k bulb for higher par, less heat/energy and use VHO as well. I will probably buy a few different bulbs to play with in the beginning to see what looks most appealing to me.

Found a guy local to me with 8-10 lumenarcs. 19.5x19.5x9. Not sure which ones they are but they are the larger ones like I wanted. Gonna use a lumatek ballast and try the radium bulb.
